12 Days of Thanksgiving Devotional Day 5:
Lord, we thank You for the GIFT of the Holy Spirit! Not only do You by Your grace lead us to Jesus Christ, eternally quenching our thirst and satiating our souls with the Bread of life, but You empower us to live this life You have called us to by the gift of the Holy Spirit! Thank You God!
Allow for several minutes, your heart and thoughts to swell with gratitude and thankfulness at the fact the Lord provides to us an Advocate. One destined to take the place of Christ, to lead us to a deeper knowledge of the gospel and provide divine strength to see us through challenges and oppression for the Kingdom’s cause. Reflect on the Truth that the Holy Spirit of God is a guarantee of our inheritance from God, and we belong to Him. A guarantee. Take in the moment and knowledge of the fact the Lord has identified us as His own, by placing His Holy Spirit within us.
Breathe deep and allow the Holy Spirit to fill every nook and cranny within every place of your mind, heart and body. With prayers and praise and thanksgiving, allow the Holy Spirit to quicken your life and heart this Thanksgiving season. With this quickening allow the Holy Spirit to lead you to share His faithfulness with another, who may also be ready to receive the gift of God’s Holy Spirit in their life – a soul ready and craving an Advocate to represent them publicly before God, as only Christ can.
Thank You Jesus for Your goodness and faithful love and the Promised Holy Spirit who guarantees all we have in You!

12 Days Of Thanksgiving Devotional Day 4:
Thank God for His living water! Today we have the privilege of thanking Him for the Bread from heaven, the true Bread, which is Christ. We also get to thank the Lord that He allows us to take part in communion, where we break bread in remembrance of a Savior who was broken on our behalf. Thank You Jesus!
As believers we know we are able to take part of the Bread of life every single day. We know we get enter the gates with thanksgiving and offer our praise to the King, for providing us with sustenance to sustain us afresh every day. We thank the Lord for His Word, His sustenance and the fresh “manna” He provides to all who will freely come before Him each day!
Today, similar to yesterday, let us pause for a moment to consider those in our lives who could use fresh Bread from heaven. Perhaps someone is spiritually starving and could use a prayer or even an invite to a small group or church service. Perhaps someone you know is emotionally depleted, unable to take in the nutrition we know the Lord provides. Perhaps Holy Spirit brought a specific person to mind. Perhaps that person is you. Ask the Lord to bring an action to mind that may be extended as an offering to a hungry soul. Perhaps we begin with kind words to others and ourselves, which Proverbs 16:24 says is like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
