12 Days of Thanksgiving Devotional Day 3:

On day three of our twelve day journey before Thanksgiving, I pray we give thanks to God, not only because His grace and mercy led us to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, but because He is near! The Lord is near and even better… living within!

His Word says He provides a fresh bubbling spring within us, providing us eternal life. Today, take a moment to recall times the Spirit within brought refreshing. This refreshing may be in your thoughts, emotions, will, or physical body, in times of “feeling the drought of the dry places”. Contemplate all the ways the Lord was within and near, and how He restored your soul. Give thanks and a shout of praise. Now think of folks in your life. How has the Lord refreshed YOU and extended a cool drink of living waters to others around you? Think about your marriage, children, parents, siblings, coworkers, gym partner, teammates, coffee dates or out and about in the market place. Thank the Lord for any recollection He may call to mind.

Finally, take a moment to see and embrace folks within your circle of influence who may be in need of a fresh drink of living of water; the quenching only Jesus Christ can provide. Write down their name, or names, and pray. Thank the Lord for bringing their name or face to mind as someone He cares about, and trusts you to extend a drink to. This offer may be through prayer, a kind word, holding the door and pressing in to stand as a light post, never leaving their side, until their thirst has been quenched. Lord, we thank YOU! Because through us You will offer a quenching of the soul, and people everywhere will tell of Your mighty deeds!

12 Days Of Thanksgiving Devotional. Day 2:

Today, let us take a moment to breath in the goodness of the Lord’s GRACE. 2 Corinthians 9:14 – 15 shares: they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words! Thank God for the grace, or good will, loving-kindness and favor coming from God, as shared by the Strong’s concordance.

Today, think of all the ways the Lord has extended His Holy influence upon your life by turning you to Christ, keeping and strengthening you. What are all the ways the Lord has increased your faith, knowledge, affection and kindness? Jot down whatever comes to mind, and then take each blessing before the Lord with thanks.

Also, think even of those moments of challenge, trial and sorrow. How did your faith grow? 1 Thessalonians exhorts to be thankful in all circumstances. The grace extended during our hardships and wrestling, is perhaps the deepest and vastest. Thank and praise the Lord for seeing you through and bringing you through the depths to more tangibly experience and taste the Grace that is too wonderful for words. Give thanks and praises to the Lord because HE IS GOOD and His faithful love, mercy and grace endures forever!
