“God’s Law Brings Joy”

Day 2 of Joy filled days with God.

God’s law is not only intended as your road map through life, but it also shows you the way to happiness. If you follow this map, you will discover that living according to these particular instructions that God gives you in His Word will make you extremely happy.

After all, this is why you were created: to do His will and to honor Him. So, when you obey His law, joy will automatically follow because you will know that you are fulfilling His purpose for your life. The psalmist has firsthand knowledge of this joy. The entire Psalm 119 is an extended song of joy about the law of God, “Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. I long for Your salvation, O Lord, and Your law is my delight” (Ps. 119:111, 174). Paul, too, knows this joy that comes to those who obey God’s law: “For in my inner being I delight in God’s law” (Rom. 7:22).

Because God loves you, His law gives you clear guidelines for living each day with joy. If you undertake to obey the law, you will truly be able to testify with the psalmist: “I rejoice in following Your statutes as one rejoices in great riches” (Ps. 119:14).

Then you will also be able to make the beautiful promise of Psalm 112:1 your own: “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands.”

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I praise You for the joy that comes into my life when I obey Your law. Amen.

In Christ Alone

My source of strength, my source of hope. Is Christ alone, I place my trust and find my glory in the power of the cross.

In every Victory let it be said of me, my source of strenth, my source of hope Is Christ Alone.

Did you catch He is my strength and hope and it is in Christ alone?

Where does your strength and hope come from? I hope it comes from the Lord.

Romans 5:2-5 KJV
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

First you must believe in Him.

Let Him be your source of strength, hope, love, peace, etc. Let Him be your all in all.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Simply pray to Jesus that I am a sinner I ask for forgiveness of my sins and I want Jesus to come into my heart. Amen. No ceremony in prayer just speak from the heart.

Jesus says,” Come just as you are.”

No matter what has happen in the past Jesus loves you and accepts you just as you are. He is waiting with open arms for you.

Conversation with a friend reminded me I needed to share this.

Conversation with a friend reminded me I needed to share this.

Part of the lyrics:
Then another man stood before you
And said remember the time
A missionary came to your church
His pictures made you cry
You didn’t have much money
But you gave it anyway
Jesus took the gift you gave
And that’s why I’m here today

Why is it that the poorest among us give more than the richest among us?
If you see someone in need help them. Even if you are not very rich God can use what you give.

“If your circle doesn’t build you up and support you, then get a new circle.”

Don’t ask how someone is doing just to make them feel worse than they do based on current circumstances. Your circumstances don’t make you better than others. It’s inside your heart that matters.

“Strength comes from being pushed to your limits and surviving.”

No matter what is happening currently God will see you through and give you the strength even when it seems things are getting worst. I promise help will always come in time.

Different lyric to a different song:
Just remember when your standing in the valley of decision
And the adversary says give in
Just hold on, our Lord will show up
And He will take you through the fire again

Nothing can define you but you. Circumstances, race, money, family or friends define you.

“Your mother’s actions don’t define you. And they certainly don’t define us.”

Don’t blame others for someone else’s mistake and don’t blame yourself for their mistake. You didn’t cause them to do what they did. Let go of beating yourself up over what they did and strive above it. I won’t blame you for something out of your control and not everyone will blame you. Ignore the name sayers out there. Find positive and uplifting people in your life and let the others go.

Joy For Today’s Devotional:

Day 1 of 14 Joyed filled Days With God

“Put God First!”

Ever since I was a little girl I have known Proverbs 3:6 off by heart. The Living Bible reads as follows: “In every thing you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

Today’s Scripture verses are indeed the very best recipe for happiness and success in the year ahead. If you are prepared to put God first in everything and to always ask His will and obey it, He promises to make your paths in life smooth, to manage your affairs, and to crown all your efforts with success. God is a jealous God; we read this at the beginning of the Ten Commandments. He will not allow His children to worship other gods besides Him, but insists on His children’s complete love and loyalty.

Today there are many other things that we are in danger of finding more important than God; on which we spend more time and money than on God’s kingdom. What are you putting first in your life? Make a deliberate decision that all these things will be second in your life, so that God can be first. Then you can be sure that God will bless you!

PRAYER: Father, today I want to ask Your will first in everything I do, and put You first in my life. Thank You for Your promise that You will then crown my life with success. Amen.
