7 Day Thanksgiving Devotional Day 7:

O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving…

(Psalm 95:1-2)

Did you know that the words “think” and “thank” come from the same root? I’ve discovered this really is true. As I “think” about family, friends, and the many gifts and blessings I have received from God, my heart fills with “thanks.”  I am most thankful to God for the gift of His Son, Jesus – the Rock of our salvation, who gives us life and gives it abundantly and eternally. So during this season of thanksgiving, take some time to think. You might just be surprised at what the Lord brings to your mind. I guarantee you one thing – He will bring someone or something for which you can thank Him

7 Day Thanksgiving Devotional Day 6:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:6-7)

Thanksgiving is that quiet holiday nestled between Halloween and Christmas that beckons us to slow down and reflect on God’s bountiful blessings. But with all the busyness of the surrounding holiday season, it is easy to become frazzled and anxious and miss the purpose and joy of the occasion.

In our scripture we are given the solution for our anxiousness and worry. We are to pray with thanksgiving. The promised result of such praying is that the peace of God will guard our hearts and minds. So throughout this season, make sure to “call a time out” when stress comes, and pray with thanksgiving. When you do, you will discover a peace that surpasses all human understanding.

Warnings of things to come.

It has been foretold what is to come. We are now more than ever seeing the Bible and prophecies full filled. Yet you are to be vigilant and hold strong. We have yet to see anything here in the states but other parts of the world you could be killed, beaten, sentence to jail, the list is endless all in proclaiming Jesus Christ is Lord and not backing down.

There are so many false teachings out there proclaiming their version of the truth. Be mindful of those you follow and what they are teaching. So many soften the words in the spoken in the bible. Some re-write the words to go with the times or their doctrine.

The bible was written in King James and that is the only one I use. Some other leave out key verses or certain words to down play what is written. That is why you should compare what is spoken back to the original King James.

Do not just take the words spoken by someone. Be in the word of God daily so you would know the truth from a lie.

Study and read the bible daily. Don’t take my word for it look it up for yourself.

The times you do not want to study, study. The times you do not want to pray, pray. The times you do not want to go to church, go to church. The times you do not want to give thanks, give thanks. The key is to keep at it continuously.

Billy Graham had this to say ehen asked a question:

If Graham had the opportunity to live his life over again, he said there are things he would do differently.

“I would study more. I would pray more, travel less, take less speaking engagements. I took too many of them in too many places around the world,” he said. “If I had it to do over again, I’d spend more time in meditation and prayer and just telling the Lord how much I love Him and adore Him and [am] looking forward the time we’re going to spend together for eternity.”

Everyone of us is going to struggle to do more and spend more time with God and his word even Billy Graham. So try to do so more often. If you have and can get the Bible app gateway bible. I encourage you to do so. You can select any language and any bible version you prefer. There is daily verses and you can find devotionals to do all year or even for a week. How ever long you wish to do so but start somewhere even 5 mintues a day.

Do not fear for Jesus is with you now and always. Be anxious for nothing. Be the light in the world of darkness.
