7 Day Thanksgiving Devotional Day 2:

If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

(2 Chronicles 7:14)

In 1864, President Abraham Lincoln issued a proclamation declaring Thanksgiving as a day citizens should give thanks and praise to God and humble themselves and pray fervently for the return of the blessings of peace, union, and harmony.

This presidential proclamation echoes the promise of God found in our scripture. During this Thanksgiving season, let’s humble ourselves and pray not only for our land and nation, but for family, friends, and neighbors. We all need forgiveness and healing. So take time out to pray and seek His face. He promises that He will hear you from Heaven.

7 Day Thanksgiving Devotional Day 1:

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

(Psalm 107:1)

The first prayer most of us offered as children was “God is great. God is good. Let us thank Him for our food.” Little did we know that perhaps the most profound words that anyone could ever utter in this universe would be, God is good!

What if God were capricious? What if God could have a bad day? That would be serious. Isn’t it wonderful that God is good? And He never changes! He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. So let us thank God for who He is – Good and Great!

Today’s Devotional Verse

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Acts 15:16‭-‬18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/act.15.16-18.KJV
