1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Psalm 62 King James Version

 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

In verse 5 it says, for my expectation is from him. Where is your expectation placed? Do you place it in others or yourself? Hopefully your expectation is with the Lord.

In verse 8 do you trust Him at all times through the good and the bad? When was the last time you poured out your heart before Him?

In verse 11 it says, that power belongeth unto God. It is not unto men nor is the power within us. God and God alone has the power.

This week read and meditate over chapter 62 of Psalm and see what the Lord reveals to you and what He will have you take away from it.

Loneliness Billy Graham’s Daily Devotion Oct 16, 2021

My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Loneliness is one of the greatest problems people face today. It is a leading cause of suicide-that is now the third greatest killer of students in the United States. People feel various kinds of loneliness. One of the most common is the loneliness of solitude. Or there is the loneliness of suffering. Many people experience loneliness in society, or there is the loneliness of sorrow, guilt, and judgment. All of us feel at times a loneliness for God. Someone has called it cosmic loneliness. We don’t know what it is. It makes us restless. You see, man was made for God; and without God, he is lonely. But Jesus is knocking at the door of our heart, saying, “I want to come in. Let me in.” He doesn’t push His way through that door. We have to open it and invite Him in; when we do, He comes in to live forever and we are never lonely again. PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord Jesus, I remember the agony of my days without You. Lead me to the lonely people who need to experience the joy of Your companionship, too.

New experience

If you are tired of living on the beaten path that everyone else walks, venture into the woods. Some people would be afraid they would get lost, but a confident woman expects to have a new experience that might be outrageously wonderful.

Pray: Lord, help me to see beyond my narrow limitations for people. I want to see what You see in them, but I’ll never see it without Your touch. Amen.
