Praying For Our Leaders

1 Timothy 2:1-4 King James Version

1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

We are asked to pray on their behalf. It does not say pray for the one you like and ignore the one you dislike but to pray. We pray so that God will use them where they are. Maybe they are not saved you can pray for their salvation.

It is perfectly well to pray for those in office we like makes prayer that much more easier. Praying for someone who’s views different a bit harder. But those we disagree with are they not the ones who need the most prayers out of everyone else.

So, when you pray to God the next time remember to pray for all leaders from Mayor, Commissioners, to the Senate up to the President. If you are in another country prayer for those in authority over you.

We are called upon to pray for them let us join together and pray for them.

God bless you and your loves ones.

Proverbs 8:12-13 King James Version

12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Pray: Lord, I want to make something happen through my life, but with the confidence that comes through Your strength. I humble myself under Your mighty hand and refuse to trust in myself alone. Amen

Spiritual Endurance Verses.

Hebrews 12:1King James Version

12 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Isaiah 40:31King James Version

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Paul’s Warning of the last days.

2 Timothy 2:22-3:5 King James Version

22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give themrepentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

I love seeing how scripture back then relates to us currently.

Right now we have seen evidence of what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right play out. Turning and rejecting God even those in the Christian faith have walked away.

How someone who has known and walked with God stops and no longer needs Him especially in these days is beyond my comprehension. But this is what is going on around us.

We have a huge number of homeless in our own backyard and yet we do nothing to help them. Even those claiming to be for charity are really after themselves and what they can get and how little they give back to those in need.

The lack of discipline of children and their need to be all about me is astounding. Schools cannot step in to lean a hand of correcting a child’s behavior because the child may cry wolf. They are worried about being sued by said child and their parents.

The world is so vastly different that we are so worried about putting someone’s noses out of joint and we tiptoe around people. Worried to cause offense so easily even though not your goal. You are just having conversation that people may take out of context. When did we let fear decided for us and control us.

We have let fear take over our lives in such an unhealthy way and turned such a blind eye that the next generation is going to be in a mountain of trouble.

We took God out of church, schools, and the work place and we need to put Him back and make Him number one in our lives.

In the book of Revelation we have this verse below.

Revelation 2:4 KJV

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Our first love should be Jesus and if not then we need to make Him our first love as found in Matthew 22:37. With everything that is in you, you should love the Lord thy God.

Matthew 22:37 KJV

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Then in Matthew 6:33 Put God first.

Matthew 6:33 KJV

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Doing so is what made America great in the first place is because we put God first in all we did and He blessed the nation as found in Psalm 33:12.

Psalm 33:12 King James Version

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Let’s get back to putting God first in our lives and everywhere else we go each day.

God bless you and your loved ones. Recommend Billy Graham’s book Storm Warning to read.

Women How God Wants You To Dress According To His Word

1 Timothy 2:9-10 King James Version

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

In verse 9 it says to dress in modest apparel. You can pray and ask God to reveal what modest means to you.

I was raised with the help of grandparents so my version of modest may be different then yours. To me that means revealing no parts of myself. I do not mean to say wear a nun outfit just be respectful of yourself. Your body is to be only for your husband not for other men to lust after.

Colossians 3:5 King James Version

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

The way you dress is how guys will see you and respect you.

God says in Proverbs your price (women) is far above rubies. My favorite verses in Proverbs.

Proverbs 31:10-12 King James Version

10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

Proverbs 31:16-20 King James Version

16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.

17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.

19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

Proverbs 31:25-30 King James Version

25 Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.

30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

How wonderful to having a caring Heavenly Father who cares enough about us that He instructs us each day of our lives. It is not just in the way we should dress but how we conduct ourselves. How we should pray for everyone which includes those you do not agree with in authority over you. We have a God who loves us and wants only the best for us and looks out for our best interest.

Meditate on the above and pray about it and ask God to lead you on what you should take away from it. Below is a song that reminds me of how priceless we are as women.

God bless you and your loved ones.

Psalm 63 King James Version

1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Psalm 103:1-5 King James Version

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalm 62 King James Version

 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

In verse 5 it says, for my expectation is from him. Where is your expectation placed? Do you place it in others or yourself? Hopefully your expectation is with the Lord.

In verse 8 do you trust Him at all times through the good and the bad? When was the last time you poured out your heart before Him?

In verse 11 it says, that power belongeth unto God. It is not unto men nor is the power within us. God and God alone has the power.

This week read and meditate over chapter 62 of Psalm and see what the Lord reveals to you and what He will have you take away from it.
