I am the living bread that came down from heaven . . .
–John 6:51
In John 6:48 we read that Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.” Jesus had just fed 5,000 people with five loaves and two fishes. They were all excited and thrilled over the great miracle that had occurred, [but] Jesus was talking about something more important than social needs. Bread in the Scriptures is a symbol of spiritual life. Man has an inborn hunger for God. He cannot be satisfied with anything less than God. God alone can supply the bread which satisfies the inner longing of your soul and the hunger of your heart. . . . The Bible says that He is the Bread of Life.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Lord Jesus, thank You for satisfying the yearnings deep down in my heart. Your presence fulfills the needs of my soul, and I rejoice.

You know the song,”why can’t we be friends?” There is more to it then being a friend to somebody.
If you know they are having problems financially, maybe need a lift somewhere, or food to eat, lend a hand. Ask how can I help you or what do you need? Maybe your friend just needs to vent for a moment about what is going on and that’s okay, you can just listen and bring comfort to them.
Definition of a friend- a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection.
A bond of mutual affection is what a friend is. It amazes me so see so many turn a blind eye when a friend or loved oneor someone you know is in need. It begs the question of were you truly friends to begin with.
We are all struggling right now and yet if there is some small way to help someone out and you can then I would. This is why we are here to help each other.
Proverbs 17:17 KJV A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
A friend is someone who remains loyal and helpful during the good times and the bad times. Speaks the truth even when it hurts. Demonstrating the kind of love found in 1 Corinthians 13.
The next time you notice someone in need lend a hand no matter how small the help is or how big. The size does not matter but people do. We are supposed to be reflecting Jesus each day. He helped the broken, weak, the outcast, and those in need.
Should we be any different?

We have more than abundance we can surely give to someone in need.
God bless you and your loved ones.
And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Here are the definitions of the two words:
Want- have a desire to posses or do something.
Need- require (something) because it is essential very important.
The definition of the two words alone tells the vast difference between the two, one is to posses the other is essential.
Need is a roof over your head for you and your family. Food so you have something to eat. A vehicle to get to and from work. If you cannot afford a vehicle at least have shoes to walk to and from work. Clothing to keep you warm. Medication for you or your loved ones to have. These are essential and important to have.
Want is tickets to the latest game or concert. Theme park tickets or movie tickets. The latest cell phone, tv screen, or computer. None of which is as important as those that we truly need.
Take care of the essentials first and save money for emergencies and then if you want something you can afford it without going into debt or using emergency fund for it. You can use the old-fashion, “Cash On the Barrel” to help you out. To pay all of it up front and jot in monthly installments which you end up paying more for in the end instead if the initial price listed. That does not include interest rates or taxes to it.
A great book to help you get out of debt or save money or if you have no debt and whant to learn to be smart with money is Dave Ramsey’s book: Complete Guide To Money. I recommend it and it will change everything for you and set you on the right track for financial stability and no more worrying about money and having no money to pay for those that which are essential to have.
