Day 22 of 31 Days:
Reflection
Good morning.
Reflecting allows us to touch base on where we’ve been and where we are today. It
will fuel our gratitude tank. If we actually stop and look back over God’s faithfulness, it’s nothing short of supernatural. This isn’t implying that we acknowledge only the painful moments as we naturally would with that statement, but the good ones as well. As mentioned on day 3, I heard of a study about people in their final chapter of life being asked what they regret. A top response was “not reflecting enough.” When I heard this, it changed my life.
I encourage us all to stop and think about the places that we’ve seen, the people that we’ve met, the moments of God’s protection, the love that we’ve shared with others, the seasons of God’s faithfulness, the times we felt goosebumps—all of it. It’s much easier to see the beauty and gift of life if we take time to reflect on it.
What are two moments in your life that you wish could’ve lasted forever? Now, thank God those moments ever happened.
Psalm 23:6 King James Version
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
