A Good Morning Devotional.

Day 21 of 31 Days:

Peace

Good morning.

From Genesis 1 to now, the Lord has always had the ability to bring peace where there’s chaos. However, when it comes to us personally, we have a responsibility to take. We must be sure that we are filling our minds with good and peaceful matters. If we constantly consume negativity, that’s what will circulate within us, eventually coming out. On the flip side, if we fill our mind with positivity and faith, I believe we will experience that peace from Heaven that we all desire.

As scripture states, the peace of God surpasses understanding. It doesn’t make sense, but we will know when we’ve obtained it. When we meditate on the good matters listed in prior verses of the same chapter, we can be surrounded by chaos. However, the chaos won’t be in us. The peace of God is an internal matter. It’s a personal choice to make. We step in or we step out, but it’s always available. If we want it, it’s ours. My prayer is that His peace would wash over us daily.

In this moment, what are two things from Philippians 4 that you could meditate on?

Philippians 4:6-8 King James Version

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
