Good Morning: A Minimal Devotional.

Day 17 of 31 Days:

Identity

Good morning.

In order to know who we are, we must know whose we are. If we miss this, we’ve missed the very foundation of our lives. There is nothing to stand or build on. But if we see that God is ours and we are His, it changes everything.

As a result of knowing whose we are, we will ultimately see why we are. We will discover our purpose from that place, and that place alone. We won’t wander aimlessly; we will be a life on a mission in pursuit of our tailor-made vision.

In a world that attempts to label and mold us, we must lean into what He says. We must allow Him to let us know. May we discover God more greatly today. As we do, we discover us. Speak, Lord.

In this moment, how can you shut down the noise and just listen to Him?

Ephesians 1:5-6 King James Version

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
