Day 16 of 31 Days:
Perspective
Good morning.
If you’ve ever been on a plane, a mountain, or even a swing, you know what it’s like to see things from an elevated view. It’s interesting how the things that seemed large when you were facing them head on now seem small when you’re above them. The same happens when we allow ourselves to see from a Heavenly perspective. The things that seemed intimidating or daunting from ground-level now seem rather frail from a higher perspective.
A mentor of mine has this simple and profound saying, “Climb higher.” Just as Moses climbed the mountain to be with God, we ought to climb. This is a metaphor to ‘getting away with God.’ When we do so, we see from a different perspective. We climb higher. In fact, Jesus even modeled how to do so. We do so by worship, prayer, whatever our move might be. Let’s see from a Heavenly perspective today. The way we’re meant to see. You know what they say, “Perception is reality.”
How will you elevate your perspective today?
Colossians 3:1-2 KJV
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
